New to Holly Springs

GUEST INFORMATION

You’re new? Don’t worry, all of us were at one point! We hope you discover that Holly Springs Baptist Church has a place for you. We are a family-centric, Southern Baptist church that believes in the authority of Scripture as the only basis for our lives, our worship, and our talents! We are not perfect people; we are just the opposite. We know what the grace of Jesus looks like, and our goal is to spread that message of hope to our city, state, nation, and world!

Here are some answers to frequent questions we hear around here:

    10:00 AM Sunday Worship

Head North on US HWY 59 for 7 miles

Church is located on the Right side of the road.

    From Garrison:

Head South on US HWY 59 for 7.5 miles

Church is located on the Left side of the road.

  • WHERE DO I PARK?

As you pull into the church, you will see two buildings. The building to the left is the sanctuary, and the building on the right is the children's, youth, and gym. We have designated visitor parking spots on the East side of the Main building. Overall, you can park anywhere around either building.

  • WHAT'S HOLLY SPRINGS LIKE?

HSBC is a come-as-you-are atmosphere. On a typical Sunday, you will find some people dressed up in suits, others in business casual, and others in jeans! We believe Jesus is more concerned with the condition of your heart than your clothes.  Right from the start, you will find some friendly folks who will make you feel welcome and who you will find have many of the same concerns and struggles with life that you have! We are diverse in age, race, economic status, and levels of spiritual depth. There is a place for you.

  • WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

At Holly Springs Baptist kids and students are one of our top priorities. We offer full preschool, elementary, middle, and high school programming.

  • WHY ATTEND A CHURCH?

    I attend church because ....

    1. I attend church to serve others. There is so much greater joy in serving than in seeking to be served. When the church is gathered, I have many opportunities to serve, which are my gifts from God.
    2. I attend church to encourage others. We live in a world of incredible digital communication. But there is still something irreplaceable about gathering together. When I encounter someone in person at church, I can also encourage him or her in person.
    3. I attend church to state my priorities. If I am able to go to work, school, vacation, or watch or be involved in a sport, I can attend church. I desire a no-excuse clause for attending church.
    4. I attend church to participate in worship. There is something special and Spirit-filled about worshipping together with other Christians. It is both an opportunity and a gift I do not take lightly.
    5. I attend church to set an example for my family. Couples who attend church have healthier marriages, and children grow up with countless benefits because their parents took them to church. I must show the importance and priority of church attendance to those I love.
    6. I attend church because the Bible tells me to do so. Two-thirds of the New Testament is about churches, specifically gathered churches. The words of the writer of Hebrews in 10:24-25 are powerful: “And let us watch out for one another to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and more as you see the day approaching.”
    7. I attend church because I love my church. I love my pastor, the members, and the community my church serves. If I love someone, I will be there for them. I truly love my church.
  • WHAT DO I BELIEVE?

In simple terms, we believe that God, the Creator, loved people so much that he provided a way out of sin: Jesus, his Son. Jesus would die on the cross for our sins, rise to life on the third day, and then send the Holy Spirit to live inside believers.

We believe salvation is available to anyone who would confess Jesus as Savior.

We believe the Holy Scripture is true, trustworthy, and without error.

We believe the church (global) is the bride of Christ, whose mission is to glorify God through worship, please God through community, and serve God through mission.

We believe Jesus will return one day to take us home to be with Him, and we look forward to that day!

Get Connected

Attending a worship service is a great way to get a feel for our church's personality, but we believe genuine connection is found in a smaller setting. Sunday School Small Groups, called Connect Groups, are our most significant opportunity for finding and establishing community within our church family.
